4.~.
Item /D~.
Meeting Date 3/18/80
ITEM TITLE: Resolution ~Qd'f ~ Appropriating funds for Telegraph Canyon Road
properties
SUBMITTED BY: City Attorney
BACKGROUND
(4/5ths Vote: Yes g No )
To provide funding for the acquisition of right of way for the realign-
ment of Telegraph Canyon Road, the City Council has heretofore appro-
priated $50,000 to account 250-2501-GT83. Of the amount budgeted,
there is a balance of $34,119. In order to deposit security for the
last remaining parcel, it is now necessary to provide the sum of
$48,317.60 as the City's share (47.6$) of the security deposit. The
Gersten Company will pay the balance.
Gas Tax funds which have been augmented by the deposit of $23,700
from the Crest Drive slope rights sales are more than adequate to
provide additional funds necessary for the Telegraph Canyon Road
acquisitions. Since we are certain that the security deposit does
not represent the total amount necessary for the acquisition of the
particular parcel, known as the Lee property, it is recommended that
the
RECOMMENDATION
City Council at this time appropriate the sum of $20,000 for use
in the acquisition of Telegraph Canyon Road properties.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable
FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriate $20,000 from the unappropriated balance of the Special
Gas Tax Fund to be placed in account 250-2501-GT83 for use in the
acquisition of Telegraph Canyon Road properties.
