ITEM TITLE: Resolution /oo ~R Designating W. J. Winters, Public Safety Director, as
Chula Vista's representative in Federal Disaster Fund Applications

San Diego County has been declared a "Disaster Area" by the President due to the
recent rains. The City is eligible fora Federal grant to assist in restoring
damaged public property. In order to qualify for funds, a City officer must be
officially designated as this City's renresentative to handle the details required
by Federal and State disaster officials.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution
BOARD/COMP1ISSION RECOMMENDATION: N. A.
DISCUSSION:
Bill Winters, Public Safety Director, is recommended as this City's representative
to coordinate the filing of our application and to execute in behalf of the City
necessary documents associated therewith. He will work with the affected
departments, notably Parks & Recreation and Streets, in developing data necessary
in making the application.
