Winters, Public Safety Director, as Chula Vista's representative in Federal Disaster Fund Applications SUBMITTED BY: City Manager (4/5ths Vote: Yes No_) San Diego County has been declared a "Disaster Area" by the President due to the recent rains. The City is eligible fora Federal grant to assist in restoring damaged public property. In order to qualify for funds, a City officer must be officially designated as this City's renresentative to handle the details required by Federal and State disaster officials. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution BOARD/COMP1ISSION RECOMMENDATION: N. A. DISCUSSION: Bill Winters, Public Safety Director, is recommended as this City's representative to coordinate the filing of our application and to execute in behalf of the City necessary documents associated therewith.
