ITEM TITLE: Resolution 996$ - Accepting Quitclaim Deeds from the Daneri
heirs and appropriating funds therefor

On January 15, 1980, the City Council approved the settlement of the
long existing problem of acquiring good title to the property on
which the dog pound has been built.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council:
1. Accept the Quitclaim Deeds.
2. Appropriate the sum of $11,156 from the unappropriated
balance of the General Fund.
3. Authorize and direct the Director of Finance to prepare
warrants in the amount of $2,231.20 to be forwarded to
each of the five Daneri heirs.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
The five heirs of the Daneris,who originally granted the property
to the school district, have executed Quitclaim Deeds which are now
ready for acceptance by the City. The agreed upon sum of $11,156 should
now be paid to the heirs.
FISCAL IMPACT: Appropriate the sum of $11,156 from the unappropriated
surplus of the General Fund.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the indebtedness and obligation
to be incurred by the contract or agreement authorized by the
attached resolution can be incurred without the violation of any
of the provisions of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista, or
the Constitution or the laws of the State of California, that
sufficient monies have been appropriated for the purpose of said
contract, that sufficient monies to meet the obligations of the
contract are actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from which
the same are to be drawn, and that said monies now actually in
the Treasury, together with the monies anticipated to come into
the Treasury, to the credit of said appropriation are otherwise
unencumbered.
