HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1980/02/19 Item 06COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item 6 Meeting Date 2/19/80 ITEM TITLE: Resolution 996$ - Accepting Quitclaim Deeds from the Daneri heirs and appropriating funds therefor SUBMITTED BY: City Attorney (4/5ths Vote: Yes x No) On January 15, 1980, the City Council approved the settlement of the long existing problem of acquiring good title to the property on which the dog pound has been built. RECOMMENDATION: That Council: 1. Accept the Quitclaim Deeds. 2. Appropriate the sum of $11,156 from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund. 3. Authorize and direct the Director of Finance to prepare warrants in the amount of $2,231.20 to be forwarded to each of the five Daneri heirs. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: The five heirs of the Daneris,who originally granted the property to the school district, have executed Quitclaim Deeds which are now ready for acceptance by the City. The agreed upon sum of $11,156 should now be paid to the heirs.
