RESOLUTION NO. 10277
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING, DEDICATING AND NAMING CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY IN SAID CITY FOR STREET AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES
LOCATED ON OTAY LAKES ROAD
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista that that certain grant of real property, made
by easement ,executed by Carmen Pasquale of Otay Land Company
dated the 18th day of September ,1980, a copy of which
is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, the same
as though fully set forth herein be, and the same is hereby accepted
and dedicated to the public use for street and highway purposes by
the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said real property is hereby
officially named OTAY LAKES ROAD
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Chula Vista be, and she is hereby authorized to record said
easement in the office of the San Diego County Recorder.

A portion of Qtr. Sec. 45 of Rancho de 1a Nacion in the City of Chula Vista,
County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map 166 filed May 11,
1869 in the office of County Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Qtr. See 45; thence South 71048'41~'
west along the southerly line of Bonita Ridge Estates Unit #4 Map #8370 recorded
August 26, 1976, a distance of 492.55 feet to the True Point of Beginning, said
point lying on the northerly line of Otay Lakes Road as established by said
Map 8370; thence along a 1048.00 foot radius curve, the radial of which bears
South 24004 '19"t~est, concave southerly through a central angle of 120 26'01",
a distance of 227.42 feet, said line being parallel to and 48.00 feet northerly
of the centerline of Otay Lakes Rd. per said Map 8370; thence South 53029'40"
East on a line parallel to and 48.00' northerly of the centerline of Otay Lakes
Rd., a distance of 79.73 feet to a point of intersection with the westerly line
of Parcel Map 7650 recorded August 2, 1978 (being also the westerly line of Parcel
Map 2300 and Record of Survey 6070); thence South 18011 '52" East a distance of
83.07 feet to a point on the centerline of Otay Lakes Rd. according to said
PM 7650 and Road Survey 558-1; thence North 53029'40" West (North 53007'24"
West per R.S. 558-1) a distance of 147.53 feet to the beginning of a tangent
1000.00 foot radius curve, concave southerly through a central angle of 15033'20",
said curve being the centerline of Otay Lakes Rd. per Map 8370, Parcel Map 7650,
and Road Survey 558-1, a distance of 271.50 feet along said curve to a point
of intersection with the southerly line of Bonita Ridge Unit #4 per said Map 8370;
thence North 71048'41" East along said southerly line a distance of 73.58 feet to t~2
True Point of Beginning.
Excepting there from: All that portion of the described parcel previously named
and dedicated as Otay Lakes Rd.
The Grantor hereby further grants to the City of Chu1a Vista the privilege and
right to extend drainage structures and excavation and embankment slopes beyond
the limits of the herein described right-of-way where required for the construction
and maintenance of said public street. RESERVING unto grantor of the above
described parcel of land, his successors or assigns, the right to eliminate such
slopes andfor drainage structures or portions thereof, when in the written opinion
of the City Engineer of Grantee, the necessity therefore is removed by substituting
other protection, support and/or drainage facility, provided such substitution
is first approved in writing by said City Engineer.
