RESOLUTION NO. 10176
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9162 BY ADDING ENVIRON-
MENTAL REVIEW FEES AND DEPOSITS TO THE MASTER FEE
SCHEDULE
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista that the Master Fee Schedule as adopted by
Resolution No. 9162 be, and the same is hereby amended by adding
the following fees for environmental review of projects:
1. A request to initiate the preparation of an EIR and
candidate CEQA findings shall be accompanied by a refun-
dable deposit in the amount of five hundred dollars. If
the actual cost of processing and/or preparing the EIR
and candidate CEQA findings exceeds the amount of the
initial deposit, the project proponent shall deposit
with the Finance Department a sum sufficient to cover
all additional costs.
2. Prior to the signing of an agreement for the pre-
paration of an EIR and CEQA findings, the project
proponent shall deposit with the Department of Finance
the amount necessary to reimburse the City hired con-
sultant.

Add to the Master Fee Schedule the following:
1. A request to initiate the preparation of an EIR and candidate CEQA findings
shall be accompanied by a refundable deposit in the amount of five hundred
dollars. If the actual cost of processing and/or preparing the EIR and
candidate CEQA findings exceeds the amount of the initial deposit the
project proponent shall deposit with the Finance Department a sum sufficient
to cover all additional costs.
2. Prior to the signing of an agreement for the preparation of an EIR and
CEQA findings, the project proponent shall deposit with the Department
of Finance the amount necessary to reimburse the City hired consultant.
3. All applicants for an Initial Study shall pay a non-refundable fee of
two hundred and fifty dollars. This fee shall also include the prepar-
ation and processing of a negative declaration if required. If the
purpose of the Initial Study is to focus an Environmental Impact Report,
this fee is not required and the above noted EIR deposit shall be made
with the Finance Department.
4. An applicant who requests the use of a previously. prepared EIR and the
preparation of candidate CEQA findings shall deposit with the Finance
Department a refundable fee of two hundred and fifty dollars. If the
actual costs of processing the EIR and preparing the candidate CEQA
findings exceed the amount of the initial deposit, the project proponent
shall deposit with the Finance Department a sum sufficient to cover all
additional costs. If such actual costs are less than two hundred and
fifty dollars, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant.
5. An applicant who requests the review of a previous Initial Study and the
use of a previously prepared negative declaration shall pay a non-refundable
fee of fifty dollars.
6. An applicant who appeals the decision of the Planning Commission to
require more information regarding the environmental impact of a project
to the City Council shall pay a non-refundable fee of one hundred dollars.
7. A consultant who requests placement on the Environmental Review Committee's
list of environmental consultants or sub-consultants shall pay a non-
refundable fee of twenty-five dollars.
8. A person requesting placement on the list of persons receiving all
environmental notices shall pay an annual non-refundable fee of thirty-
five dollars.
9. Anyone requesting a copy of the City's Environmental Review Procedures
and all guidelines, standards, etc., of the Environmental Review Committee
shall pay a fee of five dollars.
