Reci ting the fact of the General Municipal Election held on April 8, 1980 SUBMITTED BY: City Clerk (4j5ths Vote: Yes No_) The Chula Vista General Municipal Election was held on April 8, 1980 for the following: Seat No.1 Seat No. 2 - 1 seat - 1 seat Board of Education - 3 seats Proposition "A" - Advisory Measure The registered voters for the election was 55,457. The number of people voting was 10,796 for a turnout .of 19.5%. In accordance to the City Clerk's CertificatIion, the following persons were elected to office: Seat No.1 - Gayle McCandliss Seat No. 2 - Greg Cox Board of Educ<:tion - Judith Bauer Penny Allen Joseph Cummings Proposition "A" passed by a vote of 5884 to 718. RECOMMENDATION: That the Council approve the Resolution.
