REVIEWED BY:
By Resolution No. 13129, Council approved the eleventh amendment to an
Agreement with the San Diego Unified Port District, whereby the City provided
maintenance services at the "J" Street Marina Bayside Park and the landscaped
medians on Tidelands Avenue during fiscal year 1987-88.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the twelfth amendment to the Agreement
between the Ci ty and Port Di stri ct and authori ze the Mayor to execute sai d
Agreement.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
The "J" Street Marina and Bayside Park FY 1988-89 budget of $171,730 was
approved and adopted by Council on June 21, 1988. At that time, the City had
only a tentative approval from the Port District managers for the Department's
proposal of $177,160. Subsequent adjustments to the Department request
reduced this amount to $171,730. Port District managers will recommend to
their legislative body to approve the $177,160 on June 19,1988.
The revenues to be received from this agreement will exceed the operating
budget by $5,430. This amount will be credited to the Port District upon the
City taking over the maintenance to Bayside Park addition in late September.
Attached is a copy of the budget approved by Council on June 21, 1988, and an
agreement to cover a 12-month period, July 1, 1988, through June 30, 1989.
FISCAL IMPACT: The Agreement provides for quarterly payment by the San
Diego Unified Port District for all City maintenance expenses.
