CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: August 13, 1974
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Accepting the Public Improvements on Brandywine
Avenue and Dora Lane, Southerly of Telegraph Canyon Road and
Dedicating and Naming for Public Use that Portion Within the
City Boundary of Chula Vista .

BACKGROUND

On January 16, 1974 the City of Chula Vista and the County of San Diego
entered into an agreement for the construction of Brandywine Avenue
and Dora Lane from Telegraph Canyon Road to serve as access roads to the
privately owned Chula Vista Community Hospital.
The hospital has requested acceptance of the public improvements. A
final inspection of the improvements was made on March 18, 1974 by
staff of the County of San Diego and City of Chula vista. All street
improvements have been completed in a satisfactory manner and in
accordance with the plans and specifications. The hospital has posted
a bond in the amount of $7,000 to guarantee the planting of slopes
during the month of October as recommended by the City Landscape
Architect.
We are now requesting the acceptance of the public improvements,
dedication of the right of way for public use and naming Brandywine
Avenue and Dora Lane.
We are requesting the County Engineer to recommend to the Board of
Supervisors the acceptance of the portions of the roadway in the
unincorporated area into the County maintained road system.
