ITEM TITLE:
Resolution - Accepting an Easement for Sidewalk Purposes
from Larwin-San Diego, Inc.

BACKGROUND
On August 8, 1972, the final map for El Rancho del Rey Unit No. 2
Subdivision was approved by Council Resolution No. 6542.
Approval of this map included the dedication of several streets.
One of these streets was Buena Vista Way, which is 70 feet in
width between "H" Street and Calle Santiago.
The public improvements for this portion of Buena vista Way
were constructed per Engineering Drawing No. 72-124D, approved
on August 3, 1972. Per this drawing, Buena vista Way has a
5-foot sidewalk along its easterly side; 4 feet of which lies
within the dedicated right of way and the remaining 1 foot .
within Lots E and F of El Rancho del Rey Unit No.2.
In order to correct this anomaly, Larwin-San Diego, Inc. has
submitted a grant deed, granting to the City of Chula vista a
I-foot easement on said Lots E and F for sidewalk purposes.
It is requested that the City Council adopt a resolution
accepting said easement. Upon adoption, the City Clerk shall
record the grant deed at the office of the County Recorder.
A transparency showing the location of the sidewalk easement
is available for Council viewing.
