ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for the Con-
struction of One Multiple Use Court and Sidewalk Construction
in Larkhaven Park in the City of Chula vista

BACKGROUND
The Director of Public Works received formal bids on January 8, 1974 at
11:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers for the construction of a multiple
use court and sidewalk in Larkhaven Park. The engineer's estimate was
$10,624. The low bid of $10,235 was submitted by T. B. Penick and Sons.
The list of bidders and their accompanying bid amounts are listed below:

1. That the City Council accept the bids and award the contract to T. B.

No. 61-700l-PR-8-70 for the construction of the multiple use court and
sidewalk in Larkhaven Park.

ation to be incurred by the contract or agreement author-
ized by the attached resolution can be incurred without
the violation of any of the provisions of the Charter of
the City of Chula Vista, or the Constitution or the laws
of the State of California, that sufficient monies have
been appropriated for the purpose of said contract, that
sufficient monies to meet the obligations of the contract
are actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from
which the same are to be drawn, and that said monies now
actually in the Treasury, together with the monies antic-
ipated to come into the Treasury, to the credit of said
appropriation are otherwise unencumbered.
