Thursday, 5:45 p.m. February 14, 1991 Council Conference Room City Hall Building CALL MEETING TO ORDER (5:50 p.m.) ROLL CALL - Commission Members Present: Commissioners Berry, Vogel, Crouse MSC (CrouseNogel) 3-0 to excuse Chair Jimenez and Commissioner Boerner due to illness. Staff Present: Director of Personnel Candy Boshell, Assistant Director of Personnel Melody Kessler, Assistant City Attorney Rich Rudolf, Director of Building and Housing Ken Larsen, Assistant Director of Building and Housing Brad Remp David French, Appellant Nikki Lawson, Representative for Appellant . Ms. Lawson handed out a list of items for consideration. . Commissioners agreed to deal with items 1 and 2 on the list and proceed from there: . 1. Mr. French be allowed to make and opening statement. A hard copy of the opening statement was handed out and read by each individual instead of Mr. French reading it aloud. 2. CEA be allowed to introduce two packets containing exhibits into evidence. Ms. Lawson handed out two packets to each person. . Commissioners agreed to deal with the original letter from CEA dated December 27, 1990 from Ms. Lawson to the Commission instead of Mr. French's opening remarks. . Director of Personnel handed out one packet to each person. . A 30 minute recess was called for by the Commissioners at 6:37 p.m. to review material handed out. Meeting called back to order at 6:55 p.m. . MSC (Vogel/Crouse) 3-0 to postpone continuation of the hearing until March 14, 1991 (after the adjournment of the regular meeting) to allow sufficient time to review the large amount of material handed out at this meeting. it was agreed to by everyone to allow the absent Commissioners to first listen to the tape recording of this meeting and then be presented with the same documents for review in order to participate in the continuation of the hearing on March 14, 1991. It was also agreed to by both parties and the Commission that no new evidence would be presented by either side. .
