HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2010-019RESOLUTION NO. 2010-019 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING $7,000 FROM THE UNITED STATES MARSHALS SERVICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET FOR THE FUGITIVE TASK FORCE WHEREAS, since 2003, the Police Department has assigned one detective to the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force, which is coordinated by the United States Marshals Service; and WHEREAS, the primary mission of the fugitive task force is to investigate and arrest, as part of joint law enforcement operations, persons who have active state and federal warrants for their arrest; and WHEREAS, the United States Marshals Service has allocated $7,000 to the Police Department for approved equipment services, training or supplies directly related to the task force. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept $7,000 from the United States Marshals Service and appropriate said funds to the fiscal year 2010 Police Deparhnent supplies and services budget.
