Daley Corporation has completed the asphalt pavement overlay of
Fourth Avenue: Trousdale to IIC", IIFII to IIGII, IIH" to IIL" Str.eets
and Second Avenue from "I" to "J" Streets. It is my
RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the resolution accepting
the work performed under the contract.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
The contract for overlaying Fourth Avenue and Second Avenue was
awarded to Daley Corporation on February 17, 1981 by Resolution
10398. The contract was signed on March 23, 1981.
A final inspection made on April 16, 1981 has veri~ied that the
work has been completed by Daley Corporation in accordance with
the contract specifications and to the satisfaction of the City
Engineer.
The actual quantity of asphalt used was approximately 4 percent
greater than estimated. Total cost over original was $5,990. Of
that amount, Zogob Development Company paid $2,900 to the City
for the overlay of Center Street, east of Fourth Avenue.

FISCAL IMPACT:
