HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1981/03/24 Item 10 COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item ,10 Meeting Date 3-24-81 ITEM TITLE: Resolution /~/;,t..- Appropriating funds for Local History Room photographs SUBMITTED BY: City Manager (4/5ths Vote: Yes x No___) At the meeting of March 17, 1981, the City Council heard a presentation from the Chairman of the Resource Conservation Commission and from a Mr. John Rojas representing a group of interested citizens concerned with preserving the history of Chula Vista. The presentation concerned the need for $600 to process approximately 400 pictures for the local history room. RECOMMENDATION: that the Council approve the resolution appropriating the sum of $100.00 , DISCUSSION: : At the March 17 meeting, Chairman Taylor stated that the Resource Conservation Commission was willing to pledge $500 of their unexpend~d budgeted funds for this project and asked the City Council to appropriate the additional $100 needed. The Council agreed and asked that a resolution be brought back appropriating this money.
