Bids were received and opened in Conference Room 1, Public Services B1dg, at 3:00 P.M. on January 26, 1981 for the purchase of the loader. It is my RECOMMENDATION: That Council accept bids and award the' contract to Miramar Bobcat, Inc. DISCUSSION: Bid forms were mailed to five vendors. The following bids were received: BIDDER UN IT PRI CE Miramar Bobcat, Inc. San Di ego $13,108.12 Case Power & Equipment San Di ego . 13,500.00 Webb Equipment Co. San Di ego 14,373.00 International Harvester Co. E1 Cajon The low bid of Miramar Bobcat has been reviewed by the Equipment Maintenance Superintendent and Street Maintenance Superintendent and concur that the equipment bid meets specifications and is acceptable. 19,294.20 Purchase price, including sales tax, is $13,894.61. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funds are provided for in account 100-1760-5568. Budget estimate was $16,520.00.
