HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1982-1967 ORDINANCE NO. 1967 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OR MAPS ESTABLISHED BY SECTION 19.18.010 OF THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1824, WHICH AMENDED THE P-C ZONE OF EL RANCHO DEL REY ADOPTING THE SPECIFIC PLAN/GENERAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE P-C ZONE OF EL RANCHO DEL REY WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore by Ordinance No. 1824 adopted a new specific plan amending the P-C zone of E1 Rancho del Rey designating a certain high school site in the Ranchero Section Planning Area as a "high school" site, and WHEREAS, the Sweetwater Union High School District has now notified the City of Chula Vista that it does not intend to establish an educational facility on the 50 acre subject site, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the deletion of said "high school" site at a public hearing and finding that said matter was categorically exempt from environmental review recommended the approval of the revision of the Ranchero Sectional Planning Area in the E1 Rancho del Rey Specific Plan to delete said "high school" site and designate said area as "low density residential, 2-3 DU/acre" on the plan diagram of the E1 Rancho del Rey Specific Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1824 and all those exhibits included as text and plans of the Specific Development Plan of E1 Rancho del Rey be, and the same is hereby amended to redesignate the 50 acre parcel of land located on the southerly side of the extension of East "J" Street between the SDG&E transmission line and the extension of Paseo Ladera, presently designated as "high school" to "low density, 2-3 DU/acre" on the plan diagram of the E1 Rancho del Rey Specific Plan. The 50-acre parcel of land located on the southerly side of the extension of East J Street between the SDG&E trans- mission line and the extension of Paseo Ladera is designated "high school" on the plan diagram of the E1 Rancho del Rey Specific Plan. The Sweetwater Union High School District has officially notified the City that it does not intend to establish an educational facility on the subject site. Therefore, the City Council redesignated the subject site from "high school" to "low density residential, 2-3 Dwelling Units per acre".
