Meeting Date 10-21-80 ITEM TITLE: Resolution 11I3tJI Accepting grant of easement for bicycle lane purposes Resolution 10 ,o^Accepting grant of easement for street tree purposes SUBMITTED BY:City Engineer fjIV (4/5ths Vote: Yes_No~J In conjunction with the conditional approval of Tentative Parcel Map 80-17 the owner is required to grant easements for bicycle lane purposes and street tree purposes. It is my RECOMMENDATION: That Council accept the proferred easements. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: On August 19, 1980, Charles R. Lewsader, a partner of Roll Investments, executed the necessary documents granting a 7-foot wide easement along Otay Lakes Road for street tree purposes and a 0 to 8-foot wide easement at the southeastern portion of their property along East "R" Street ,for a bicycle lane. The variable width easement fqr the bicycle lane is required because existing right-of-way is not adequate to provide for said lane. East "R" Street is designated in the Bicycle Routes Element of the General Plan as a major bike route. It is appropriate that Council accept the easements. ~~ ?t) - 5P~59...r //-/7- ~ A plat is available for Council viewing. FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable.
