HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1985-2110 ORDINANCE NO. 2110 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING CHAPTER 1.04 OF THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CITY LIABILITY The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does ordain as follows: SECTION I: That Section 1.04.070 of Chapter 1.04 of the Chula Vista Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby added to read as follows: 1.04.070 Mandatory Duties. It is the intent of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that any ordinance establishing performance standards or establishing an obligation to act upon a City officer or employee, shall not be construed as creating a mandatory duty for purposes of tort liability, if the officer or employee fails to perform said act. SECTION II: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force on the thirty-first day from and after its adoption. Presented and approved as to form by Charles R.
