HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1990-2381 NOT APPROVED ORDINANCE NO. 2381 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA REDESIGNATING THE PARCEL FROM M-52 TO C-C-P (PCZ-88-J[M]) WHEREAS, Pacific Scene, Inc. submitted an application to redesignate the zoning of 12.2 acres located south of Palomar Street, west of Broadway and east of the existing Metropolitan Transit Development Board station from M-52 to C-C-P, and WHEREAS, the City prepared and Environmental Impact Report (EIR-89-4M with Addendum) to address the environmental affects of the proposed change in zoning, and WHEREAS, the proposed redesignation of the zoning was reviewed by staff, the Montgomery Planning Commission and the Chula Vista Planning Commission, and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the change in zoning during noticed public hearings on May 8, 1990, and June 5, 1990, and WHEREAS, The City Council certified EIR-89-4M with Addendum as being complete and in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, and WHEREAS, the City Council approved an amendment to the Montgomery Specific Plan which redesignated the property from "Research and Limited Industrial" to "Mercantile and Office Commercial" (GPA-88-2M). NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista ordains as follows: SECTION 1. That certain property more particularly described in PCZ-88-J[M] is hereby rezoned from M-52 to C-C-P. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days after its second reading and adoption. Presented by and Approved as to form by Bruce M. Boogaard City Attorney
