HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1990-2377 NOT APPROVED ORDINANCE NO. 2377 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 2.04.600 AUTHORITY TO FORM SUBCOMMITTEES CONSISTING OF NOT MORE THAN TWO OF ITS MEMBERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERFORMING ADMINISTRATIVE OR EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION I: Section 2.04.600 (Authority of Council to Perform Administrative or Executive Functions by Subcommittee is hereby added to Chapter 2.04 (City Council Meetings) of Title 2 (Administration and Personnel) which section shall read as follows: Sec. 2.04.600 Authority of Council to Form Subcommittees Consisting of Not More than Two of its Members for the Purpose of Performing Administrative or Executive Functions The City Council is hereby authorized and empowered, by resolution, to form one or more subcommittees consisting of not more than two of its members and to delegate to said subcommittee authority to perform administrative or executive functions as may be set forth in said resolution. SECTION II: Any subcommittees which have prior to the adoption of this ordinance, been formed by written or minute resolution or direction of the City Council shall, to the extent said subcommittee remains operable and functioning after the effective date of this ordinance, shall be deemed to be authorized and empowered to perform as heretofore delegated pursuant to the authority of this ordinance. SECTION III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect on the thirtieth day from and after its adoption. Presented and Approved as to form by Bruce M.
