ORDINANCE NO. 2360
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
PROHIBITING USES IN CONFLICT WITH PROPOSED REZONING UNDER
STUDY
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby find as
follows:
SECTION I: That the City intends to study the rezoning to MHP of
all mobilehome/trailer parks that are not currently zoned as such in
accordance with Exhibit A.
SECTION II: That in order to protect the public health, safety and
welfare, an interim ordinance should be passed which would prohibit any uses
which may be in conflict with the proposed rezoning study.
SECTION III: This interim ordinance is necessary to preserve the
public peace, health and safety, and general welfare because it is necessary
to temporarily protect an alternative form of housing from conversion to other
uses.
SECTION IV: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect upon its first reading and adoption if passed by at least four (4)
affirmative votes of the City Council as an urgency measure and remain in
effect for ninety (90) days.
