HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1990-2355 NOT APPROVED ORDINANCE NO. 2355 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING SECTIONS 5.20.050, 5.20.110 AND 5.20.120 OF THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF CARDROOMS The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does ordain as follows: SECTION I: That Section 5.20.050 of the Chula Vista Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 5.20.050 License-Fee-Issuance and attaching of receipts. The license fee for maintaining or operating any card table or card table business in the city is fixed in the sum of X~I~X/ dollars per table per month, payable quarterly in advance. The city finance officer shall issue a receipt for each separate card table license as in this section required, and such receipt shall be attached to such card table and preserved thereon during the full term for which such receipt was issued. SECTION II: That Section 5.20.110 of the Chula Vista Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Sec. 5.20.110 Games permitted-Panguingue prohibited. No card games except draw poker, lo-ball poker, hold-em poker or contract or auction bridge may be played in any licensed cardroom; provided further, that the game of panguingue is specifically and expressly prohibited. SECTION III: That Section 5.20.120 of the Chula Vista Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Sec. 5.20.120 Hours and days of operation. No card table licensed under the provisions of this code which is maintained or operated in connection with any other business shall be used for any card game from ~d~H~ two a.m. to 10:00 a.m. of any day. All places which are devoted e~y to the operation or maintenance of a card table business shall be kept closed each day from midnight to ten a.m. No card table shall be used for any card game ~ Sunday between two a.m. Sunday throuqh ten a.m. Monday.
