ETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, TH~ REDEVELOPMENT JUNE 1, 1996 FOR THE VETERANS ItOME PROJECT-The City, Redevelopmeat Agency, and Sweetwater Union High School District eatered into a Memoraadum of Understaading r~gaxding Ageacy's proposed acquisition of the Medical Center Drive site owned by the District in exchange for the Agency-ow'ned Windmill Farms site on Third Avenue. It is t~quested the Agreemeat be ttmended to extend the close of ~scrow. Staff r~.ommends approval of the r~olutions. B. COUNCIL RESOLUTION 18179 APPROVING THE APPLICATION TOTHE CALIFORNIA DEBTL13,1IT ~ ALLOCATION COMMITFEE (CDLAC) FOR AN ALLOCATION OF -~ - O - [ QUALIHED MORTGAGE BONDS AND ASS.IGNING ITS ALLOCATION TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO IMPLEMENT; ELECTING TO EXCHANGE SAID ALLOCATION FOR MORTGAGE CREDIT CERTWICATES; CERTIFYING THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR THE REQUIRED PERFORSVlANCE DEPOSIT OF $20B,000 AND AUTHORIZING ITS EXECUTION BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-- Staff recommends the City apply for a $20,000,000 Mortgage Revenue Bond allocation which would be converted by a ratio of 4:1 resulting in $5,000,000 to be issued as approximately 202 MCC certificates. Staff recomxnends approval of the resolutions. B.
