HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Reso 1969-562 - - RESOLUTION NO. 562 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE CHANGE OF ZONE FOR PROPERTY AT 380 K STREET AND REAR PORTION OF 819 FOURTH AVENUE FROM R-l to R-3-D AND CHANGE OF SETBACK ON K STREET TO 15 FEET WHEREAS, a duly verified application for a change of zone was filed with the City Clerk on the 19th day of February. 1969. Application Number 69-H, and WHEREAS, said application requested that the property located at 380 K Street and rear portion of 819 Fourth Avenue. more particularly described in said applica- tion, be reclassified from R-l zone to R-3 zone, and WHEREAS. the Planning Commission set the time and place for a hearing on said application, and notice of said hearing, together with its purpose. was given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least 10 days prior to the date of said hearing, and WHEREAS. a hearing was held at said time and place. namely 7 p,m., Monday, March 17, 1969, Council Chamber, Civic Center. 276 Guava Avenue. before the Planning Commission, and said hearing was thereafter closed, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOllOWS: 1. From facts presented to the Commission. the Commission finds that public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice require the change of zone from R-l (single family) to R-3-D (multiple-family with design control) for that property located at 380 K Street and the rear portion of 819 Fourth Avenue extending from a point located 130 feet east of Fourth Avenue for a distance of 192 feet, Also granted is a reduction of front setback on K Street from 20 feet to 15 feet. 2, The findings of fact in support of said determination are as follows: a. R-3-D zoning presently exists north and east of the subject property. b. A variance was previously approved for the construction of multiple family dwellings on the subject property. c, Multiple family dwellings exist on three sides of the subject property. d. A 15' setback presently exists on the easterly abutting property. e, A 15' setback is the standard set by the new zoning ordinance for R-3 property on local streets. \ ; '.-~ - -i I ".
