The City is remodeling our permanent otlices and public arun[cr. Thcv will be much more comfor[able for you when we reopen in early 200. Some of you mi7;}n he wonderinx hat we did during those few days we were closed. Primarily, eve packed up all your plans, our records, 61es, utlin~ supplies and furniture and relocated them from our pennancn[ huilding to our temporary offices. However, the office closure also offered us an opporRtniry to mete mgether and discuss some customer service improvements. We came up uvi[h several ideas that should reduce vour counter wait times and make that experience a li[tle hi[ easier and quicker fur yuu: • We have insealled a second printer so [hat we can prim muhiple receipts and permia at the same time. 1'hia should reduce your wait time. • We have issued two-way radios to our Planning Division mounter staff so they can call for back-up help and managers when the lines become too long. Phis should also reduu your wait time, • We arc working on an auurma[ed calendar [hat tells the technicians where all the meetings are happening in C~.iry Hall. When yuu show up at our wun[cr for a meeting, we will soon be able to direct you immediately m the right meeting place.
