accordance with Planning Commission Resolution No. PCZ-73-C, adopted on
the 27th day of June, 1973

4!l1EREAS, the City of Chula Vista has an adopted General Plan; and ' �
WHEREAS, State latia requires that zone designations of. property conform
to the General Plan, and
F!HEREAS, Sb•eet Properties, Inc. requested consideration of a change in
the General Plan to accortanodate a rezoning from I to C-V-P for 3.33 acres located I
at 789 "E" Street, and

WfIEREAS, the Planning Cortsnission set the time and place for a hearing to � �
consider revision of the General Plan, and notice of said hearing, together v�ith i
its purpose, was given by the publ5cation in a newspaper of general circulation i
in the City at least 10 days prior to the date of said hearing, and i
47NEREHS, a hearing was held at said time and place, namely I:00 p.m., . �

April 23, June 13 and June 27, 1973 in the Council Chamber, Civic Center, before �

the Planning Lortmission and said hearing was thereafter closed. �
NOtJ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: �
1. From facts presented to the Cortunission, the Comnission finds that
public r.ecessity, convenience and general welfar2 require the adoption of ar. ;
an�endment to the General Plan to change from Industrial to Visitor Cortonercial �

the designation for 3.33 acres located at 789 "E" Street. ��
2. Findings of fact in support of said determination are as follows: �

�� a. The proposed amendment to the General, Plan is in conformance �

1, with the Bayfront Plan submitted by consultant Sedway/Cooke. ,'

r� b, The site is located adjacent to the freeway interchange at a

\ 3. The Planning Cortmission recomnends to the tity Council that said ��
amendment to the General'Plan be adopted. .
, 4. That this resolution be transmitted to the City Council. .
