HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1981-10679 RESOLUTION NO. 10679 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO VACATE PORTIONS OF MADRONA STREET, LANDIS AVENUE, GARRETT AVENUE AND CENTER STREET, AND AN ALLEY IN BLOCK I OF MAP NO. 820 AND SETTING DATE AND TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has determined that the public interest and convenience of said City require the vacation of portions of Madrona Street, Landis Avenue, Garrett Avenue and Center Street, and an alley in Block I of Map No. 820. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista to order the vacation of said portions of Madrona Street, Landis Avenue, Garrett Avenue and Center Street, and an alley in Block I of Map No. 820, more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby elects to proceed in making said vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, and hereby fixes 7:00 p.m., the 17th day of November, 1981, in the Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista be, and she is here~ directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a newspaper of general circulation published within the City of Chula Vista, and to cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be posted in the manner and form required by law.
