RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
ACCEPTING BIDS, AWARDING CONTRACTS, SETTING ASSESSMENTS
AND ADJUSTING BUDGET FOR OPEN SPACE DISTRICTS NOS. 1
THROUGH 10
follows:
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1980, the City Council awarded a contract to C.A.
Redden for maintenance of Open Space Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9, and
WHEREAS, said contract allowed for extension of the contract at a 2%
annual increase upon mutual consent of both parties and the Director of Parks and
Recreation recommends a contract extension with C.A. Redden for fiscal year 1981-82
for Open Space Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9, and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the City Engineer on June 15,
1981 to provide landscape maintenance for Open Space Districts Nos. 4, 8 and 10, as
follows:

WHEREAS, Heffler Landscape is the low bidder for Open Space District
No.4, C. A. Redden is the low bidder for Open Space District No. 8 and Environ-
mental Care, Inc. is the low bidder for Open Space District No. 10, and it is
recommended that contracts be awarded to said companies, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize budget adjustments for each of
said maintenance districts as indicated hereinafter in the following accounts, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5612 of the Government Code of the
State of California, it is now necessary to establish the assessments for each open
space district and to direct the City Engineer to spread said assessment in
accordance with the assessment rolls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Chula Vista does hereby extend the contract for maintenance of Open Space Districts
Nos. I, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9 to C.A. Redden for fiscal year 1981-82.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby accept said
three bids and does hereby award the contract for Open Space District No. 4 to
Heffler Landscape in the amount of $20,937; for Open Space District No.8 to C. A.
Redden in the amount of $16,446 and for Open Space District No. 10 to Environmental
Care, Inc. in the amount of $4,851.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following budget adjustments for said
open space districts be made in the following amounts:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the follONing assessments for each open
space district are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to spread said amounts in accordance with the assessment
rolls:
