This resolution begins the process of renewal for coming FY 1991-92. RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt the resolution. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: According to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Hi ghways Code, also known as "Landscapi ng and Light i ng Act of 1972", the City Engi neer is requi red to prepare and fil e annual reports for all existing Open Space Maintenance Districts within the City. The filing of these reports will authorize the City to levy the annual assessment in order to maintain the districts. The City Engineer will prepare and file reports for the following districts: Open Space Districts No.1 through 11, 14, 15 and 18. Rancho Del Rey Open Space District No. 20 EastLake Maintenance District No. 1 Town Centre Maintenance District Bay Boulevard Maintenance District Willdan Associates is being retained as the assessment engineer to prepare the EastLake Maintenance District No. 1 and Rancho Del Rey Open Space District No. 20 reports. The total contract for both reports is $14,373. The City Engineer will prepare the remaining reports for Council's cons iderat i on and approva 1. All of the staff costs wi 11 be i ncl uded in the City administrative cost item for the districts. A public hearing will be held at a later date to confirm the assessments. Also, several new districts are proposed to be formed this year which include Canyon Views, Otay Rio Business Park, and Salt Creek I. Staff will return to Council at subsequent meetings to form these districts and present the Engineer's report. FISCAL IMPACT: None, the cost of preparing the report and re-spreading the assessments will be absorbed by the property owners in their assessment. DDS/File: JO-009, JO-014, HY-028, OS-OOI WPC 5545E j1,-1 RESOLUTION NO. \1..1'33 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ORDERING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE REPORTS FOR CITY OPEN SPACE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT FOR FY 1991-92 The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, according to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code, known as "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972", the Engineer is required to prepare and file annual reports for existing Open Space Maintenance Districts within the City; and 2 of also City all WHEREAS, the filing of these reports will authorize the City to levy the annual assessment in order to maintain the districts; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer will prepare and file reports for the following districts: Open Space Districts No.1 through 11, 14, 15 and 18.
