SOUTH BAY POWER PLANT DECOMMISSIONING AND DISMANTLING
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the City Council and public with additional
information regarding the regulatory process associated with decommissioning and
dismantling the existing South Bay Power Plant. It will afford an opportunity to hear
directly from stakeholders that did not present at the January 18, 2007 workshop,
regarding their recommendations and participation in the process for addressing resource
adequacy and removing Reliability Must Run (RMR) from the existing plant. The
meeting will also provide the Council Sub Committee with an opportunity to provide a
progress report on their activities since the committee was established at the January 18,
2007 workshop.
Staff recommendation: Council to hear presentations and provide direction to staff.
