RESOLUTION OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
GIVING NOTICE OF' THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO SAID CITY OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS
BONITA RIDGE ESTATES ANNEXATION
The City Council of the City of Chula Vlsta does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of Auqust , 1921-,
there was f~led ~n the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Chula
V~sta a written petition for the annexat~on to, ~ncorporat~on and in-
clusion in, the C~ty of Chula Vista of certain un~nhabited territory
particularly described in said petition, in the County of San Diego,
State of California, wh~ch territory is contiguous to the Clty of
Chula V~sta, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939, as amended,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the C~ty CounCIl of the
C~ty of Chula V~sta that, pursuant to the terms and prov~sions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended, NOTICE IS
HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed ~nexation to, incorporat~on and inclusion
in, the City cf Chula Vista of certain terr~tory in the County of San
D~ego contIguous to the City of Chula Vista, known and deSIgnated as
BONITA RIDGE ESTATES ANNEXATION.
The boundaries of the terr~tory so proposed to be annexed are more
particularly described ~n Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by reference
made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein"
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Tuesday , the 2nd day
of April , 19~, at the hour of 7:00 p,m. , in the
Council Chambers of the City of Chula Vista, 276 VourthAvenue, are here-
by set as the tIme and place for hearing protests aga~nst the proposed
annexation. At sa~d hearing, the City Counc~l shall hear ,protests from
any owner of property w~thin the City who does not also own property in
t.he terr~tory proposed to be annexed, At any time not later than the
hour set for hear,~ng objections to the proposed annexatIon, any owner
of property within said territory may f~le written protest against the
proposed annexat~on, Such protest shall state the name or names of the
owner or owners of the property affected thereto and the descript,ion
and area of such property in general terms,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CIty Clerk of the City of
Chula Vis ta be, and she is hereby directed t.o cause t.his resolution to
be published at least tWice, but not ofteneI,' than once a week, in the
Chula Vista Star News, and also in a newspaper of general circulation
published outside of the City but in the County of San Diego, said pub-
lication to be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date
set for the hearing,
BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and~he is here-
by directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be
mailed to each person to whom land within the terrItory proposed to be
annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll avail-
able on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown
on said assessment roll, and to any person who has filed his name and
address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest,
either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the event any land with-
