1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER:
Chairman Griffin called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Members present constituted a quorum.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4. NEW BUSINESS:
MSUC Hodson/Taylor to approve the minutes of June 18, 1984
a. Woman's Club Remodel
The Chula Vista Woman's Club requested permission to repair and retile
the clubhouse roof, enclose the storage area at the east end of the patio
and removal of a large palm tree in the backyard.
MSUC Taylor/Hodson to grant approval since it will not change the
character of the historical site.
b. Chula Vista Woods - EIR 84-6
The review period for this project was extended until July 25, 1984.
Commissioners discussed density, traffic impact and only one access
road to the 20-acre subdivision for the development of 110 manu-
factured housing units.
Commissioner Fox made a motion regarding her concerns on the impact
this project would have on schools in the area, traffic and encroach-
ment on the public. park.
This motion failed for lack of second.
c. San Diego Country Club - EIR 84-7
This item was continued for discussion at a Workshop Session and rescheduled
regular meeting to be held on July 30, 1984.

d. 75th Anniversary 1986 of Chula Vista
Commissioners made a recommendation that designated historical sites
open their homes to the public. Also, the Commissioners will bring
back imput at the next meeting.
e. Election of Officers - Fiscal Year 1984-85
Nominations were opened for the positon of Chairman and Vice Chairman. Vice
Chairman Taylor nominated Commissioner Donovan for Chairman and Chairman
Griffin nominated Commissioner Hodson for Vice Chairman. There being no
further nominations, Commissioners Donovan and Hodson were elected by
acclamation.
5. COMMUNICATIONS (PUBLIC REMARKS/BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS/WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE
Councilwoman McCandliss noted the importance of the comments on draft EIRs
presented by the Resource Conservation Commission rather than on an individual
basis. Also, if the Commission feels there are issues to be explored, though
they may not be germane to EIRS, she encouraged them to bring these questions
forward.
Commissioner Hodson noted that Commissioner Edwards has been absent for three
regular scheduled meetings.
6. ADJOURNMENT - Chairman Griffin adjourned the meeting at 7:06 p.m. to a Workshop
Meeting and rescheduled regular meeting to be held on July 30, 1984.
