RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
March 18, 1985 Conference Room 2 & 3, Public Services Building 5:30 p.m.
MEM ~ RS PRESENT: Chairman Hodson, Vice Chairman Taylor, Commissioners Griffin,
Hernandez and Donovan
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Environmental Review Coordinator Reid
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER:
Chairman Hodson called the meeting to order at 5:44 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL - Members present constituted a quorum
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MSUC Donovan/Hernandez (4-0) to approve the minutes of
February 18, 1985 with a change to read: Chairman Hodson had an excused
absence. (Chairman Hodson abstained due to his absence.)
4. OLD BUSINESS:
Status Report on Proposed Revision to E1 Rancho del Rey Specific Plan
Chairman Hodson abstained from all discussion on this item due to conflict of
interest. Vice Chairman Taylor chaired for the remainder of the meeting.
Environmental Review Coordinator Reid described the proposed specific plan
amendment as currently proposed by the project proponent and the staff revised
plan. Mr. Reid noted that the differences between the plans including the fact
that there were only about 400 dwelling units more in the proponent plan.
Mr. Reid indicated that the final EIR and the specific plan would be at the
Planning Commission hearing of March 27, 1985

Commissioner Griffin noted that the Chula Vista 75th "Diamond" Anniversary
Committee will meet tonight, March 18, 1985, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Commissioners discussed their tour of nominations for beautification awards.
6. ADJOURNMENT: Vice Chairman Taylor adjourned the meeting at 6:25 p.m. to a
field trip to review certain designated historical homes on April 13, 1985
and a regular scheduled meeting to be held on April 15, 1985.
