November 7. 1988 Conference Rooms 2 & 3 Public Services Building CALL MEETING TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: Meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Vice Chairman Mitchell. Present: Vice Chairman Mitchell; Commissioners Fox, Ray, Stevens and Waller; City Staff: Assistant Planner Julie Schilling; Absent: Commis- sioner Donovan with notice. Chairman Rowe arrived at 6:15 p.m. with notice APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MSUC to approve minutes of October 10, 1988 (fox/Mitchell 5-0) NEW BUSINESS A. Kent Aden representing Eastlake Development Company gave a slide presentation of the Eastlake development with emphasis on the proposed development of the Greens. Extensive discussion held regarding provision of recreational amenities as part of the Greens development and traffic issues. B. Items of the Planning Commission Agenda were reviewed and discussed. C. Initial Studies and EIRs in process were reviewed and discussed. Assistant Planner Schilling informed the Commission of the status of the City's EIR filed with the County to evaluate an interim facility for State Route 125. The Com- mission was informed that due to several regional issues involving abandonment of parkland, the City cannot proceed with an EIR for the interim facility until 1992. D. Members reviewed the roster for 1989 assignments for preparation of written comments for inclusion in Final EIRs. OLD BUSINESS A. Assistant Planner Schilling reminded the Commission that the B/C/C Awards Ban- quet was November 9, 1988, and that Chairman Rowe will be awarding Frank Scott as representative of Crossroads, the Commission's Enviornmentalist of the Year Award for 1988.
