HomeMy WebLinkAboutcc min 1984/07/28 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Saturday, july 28, 1984 8:00 a.m. Council Conference Room ROLL CALL Councilmembers present: Mayor Cox, Council members Scott, Moore, McCandliss, Malcolm Councilmembers absent: None INTERVIEWS FOR BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS VACANCIES Mayor Cox opened the meeting noting it was called to interview applicants for Board and Commissions vacancies. The following people were interviewed: Marion Stille - Parks And Recreation Archibald Hall - Planning Guy Litchy - Planning Joe DiRienzo - Planning, Civil Service Commission Rodger Lindsay - Planning Nan Myers - Planning Bob Norman - Planning Dean Haas - Parks and Recreation, Planning, Civil Service Co~nission Bob Tugenberg - Planning Linoa Navarro - Parks and Recreation, Planning, Civil Service Commission joe Casillas - Planning, Civil Service Commission Judi Coupar - Planning Harry Shank - Parks and Recreation Cliff Roland - Parks and Recreation, Planning Bobbie Morris - Planning Joanne Carson - Parks and Recreation, Planning Adjourned Regular Meeting - 2 - July 28, 1984 Grace Crane - Planning Shirley Grasser - Planning Stephen Cameron - Parks and Recreation, Planning Ollie Braden - Planning Laverne Decker - Planning Dot Moore - Library reappointment John Winkelm an - Board of Appeals reappointment MSC (Cox/McCandliss) to reappoint Dot Moore to the Library Board. Councilman Moore abstained. MSUC (MalcolmMoore) to reappoint John Winkelman to the Board of Appeals. MSUC (McCandliss/Moore) to appoint Marion Stille and Harry Shank to the Parks and Recreation Commission. PLANNING COMMISSION APPOIN~iENTS It was at the concurrence of the Council that each would nominate two people to be considered for the Planning Commission vacancies. The following were nominated: Mayor Cox - Cassillas and Coupar Councilman Malcolm - Cassillas and Grasser Councilman Scott - Carson and Tugenberg Councilman Moore - Cassillas and Carson Councilwoman McCandliss - Coupar and Tugenberg Mayor Cox noted one other applicant to be interviewed - Curtis Lee who is asking for reappointment to the Board of Appeals. MSUC (Cox/Moore) to continue to Thursday, August 2 the interview for Mr. Lee and to take action on filling the vacancies on the Planning Commission.
