MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Cox; Councilmembers Malcolm,
McCandliss, Moore
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: None
Mayor Cox announced that the meeting today was called to order to
conduct interviews to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation
of Frank A. Scott Seat #3. The City Clerk announced the
following list of 'names submitted by the Councilmembers to be
interviewed today:
Cox: Allen, Campbell, Compton, FoxJPressutti, Solomon
McCandliss: Fabrick, Fox~Kincade, Nade~ Pressutti, Ross
Malcolm: Barney, Compton~ Durazo, Fox, Ross, Solomon
Moore: Allen, Campbell, Compton, Fabrick, Ross, Fox
Mayor Cox noted that Ty Compton could not be interviewed because
he was out of town.
Interviews were conducted beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at
11:25 a.m.
At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council concurred the
first Ballot would be for each Councilmember to vote for 5
candidates. Those receiving 2 or more votes would continue on to
the second Ballot. Votes cast on Ballot #1 were as follows:

For Ballot #2, the Councilmembers concurred they would vote for 4
with candidates receiving 2 or more votes to continue on to Ballot

At the conclusion of Ballot #6, it was noted that both candidates
receiQed 2 votes each so both continued on to the 7th Ballot.
On Ballot #7, the Councilmembers concurred they would vote for 1
candidate. The votes for Ballot #7 were as follows:

MSUC (Moore/McCandliss) whoever is appointed to fill the vacancy
is to receive a unanimous Ballot.
MSUC (Malcolm/Moore) to cast.a unanimous Ballot for Bob Campbell.
MSUC (Cox/Moore) to appoint Bob Campbell to fill the vacancy -
Seat #3 on the City Council.
CIVIC RECOGNITION AWARD
MSUC (Malcolm/McCandliss) to select Bob Sutherland for a Community
Recognition Award.
MSUC (Cox/Moore) to select Susan Fuller for a Community
Recognition Award.
CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE
Council discussion followed regarding appointments to the Charter
Review Committee. It was noted that Frank Scott would chair this
committee and each Councilmember to submit one name.
FRANK SCOTT'S TESTIMONIAL BANQUET
Council discussion ensued regarding a gift for Mr. Scott and
various details concerning his testimonial banquet.
