SUBJECT: CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION VACANCY
Following is the list of three nominees for the current Civil Service Commission
vacancy. This current vacancy is the result of the expiration of Eloy Villa's term and
as specified in the Charter, it is the responsibility of the other Commissioners to
nominate three individuals for appointment by the City Council.
The Commission has reviewed applications for all interested parties and after
deliberation, nominates the following: Eloy Villa, Joseph Noble, and James Robertson.
In accordance with the Charter, the Council may now appoint one of the three to fill
the position. Since the Civil Service Commission has a number of appeal hearings
scheduled during the month of October, I respectfully request that this be finalized
as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
