HomeMy WebLinkAboutcc min 1977/04/26 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Held Tuesday - 3:30 p.m. April 26, 1977 An adjourned special meeting of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista~ California was held on the above date beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Conference Room, City Hall, 276 Fourth Avenue, with the following Councilmen present: Mayor Hyde~ Councilmen Cox~ Egdahl, Hobel Councilmen absent: None Vacancy: Council Seat No. 3 Staff present: City Attorney Lindberg INTERVI£WS OF APPLICANTS The following candidates were interviewed for the FOR THE VACANCY ON Council vacancy: COUNCIL SEAT NO. 3 Gordon Boltz George Gillow John Kingston Jim Ladd Don Painter Robert Renneisen Lois Richards The candidates responded to questions asked by Council and to the following questionnaire: 1. Wha~ is your opinion on the City's Utility Tax? 2. What~ your position on Redev~opment: A. Bayfron~ B. Town Centre 3. Give ~ your view point on how the undeveloped po~on of E1 Rancho D~ Rey area should be developed. 4. What do you think are the most impo~ta~ problems facing the City of Chula Vista at th~ time? 5. Wha~ expe~ience have you had that you feel qua~fi~ you for £h~ office? (Council Seat No. 3) 6. What is yom opinion regarding social servic~ (Human Care Service) the City of Chula V~ta should provide ADJOURNMENT Mayor Hyde adjourned the meeting at 6:08 p.m. to the meeting scheduled at 7:00 p.m., indicating that the Council win continue the consideration of the selection of the candidate at this evening's meeting (April 26).
