RESOLUTION NO. 11930
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
OF INTENTION TO GRANT A FIVE YEAR EXTENSION TO A
FRANCHISE FOR REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL TO CHULA
VISTA SANITARY SERVICE
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, Chula Vista Sanitary Service, presently oper-
ating as the contract agent for the City of Chula Vista, pursuant
to Ordinance No. 1993, has filed with the City Council of the City
of Chula Vista a request that the franchise be extended for a
period of five more years with an option to extend for two
additional five year periods, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council, the pUblic good
requires the consideration of the granting of such extension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula vista intends to consider the granting of a five
year extension to said franchise and will hold a hearing on this
matter at the time and place specified in the notice hereinafter
set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish at least once within fifteen days after the
passage of this resolution and at least ten days prior to the date
of the hearing the following notice:
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO GRANT FIVE YEAR EXTENSION TO FRANCHISE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Chula Vista Sanitary Service
has requested that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista
grant it a five year extension to its current franchise to collect
refuse in the City of Chula Vista. The request also includes an
option to extend the franchise for two additional five year
periods if the franchisee has performed in a satisfactory manner.
The City Council may consider changing other terms of the
franchise at the time it considers the proposed extension.
Any and all persons having any objections to the granting
of this extension may appear before said Council in the Council
Chambers at the hour of 7 0 I clock on Tuesday, the 26th day of
February, 1985 to be heard thereon.

Notice is further given that at any time not later than
the hour set for hearing objections, any person interested may
make written protest stating objections against the granting of
said franchise extension which protest must be signed by the
protestant and delivered to the City Clerk. The City Council
shall at the time set for hearing said objections proceed to hear
and pass upon all protests so made. For further particulars,
reference is hereby made to Ordinance No. 1993 which contains the
terms of the current franchise and which is on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Chula vista.
