HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1984-11735 RESOLUTION NO. 11735 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'rHE CITY OF CHULA VISTA CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE 1911 BLOCK ACT PHASE XVI PROJECT The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, on July 24, 1984, the City Council received the final City Engineer's report on the cost of construction of work adjacent to six parcels in the 1911 Block Act Phase XVI Project, and WHEREAS, the six properties that were included in the 1911 Block Act Program were as follows: Property Location Improvements Required 914-916 Fourth Avenue 1382 Hilltop Drive 745 Third Avenue Sidewalk only Sidewalk only Curb, gutter, sidewalk ramp Curb, gutter, Curb, gutter, Curb, gutter, sidewalk, pavement, driveway 904 Fourth Avenue 458-470 L Street 1395 First Avenue sidewalk, pavement, sidewalk, pavement, sidewalk, pavement, driveway driveway driveway WHEREAS, presented to the where the owner work to be done. the owners' expenses are less than originally owners on June 21, 1983 in all cases except one specifically requested an increased scope of the NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the the City of Chula Vista does hereby confirm outlined in the City Engineer's Report for the Phase XVI Project. City Council of assessments as 1911 Block Act BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby authorize staff to record liens against properties that do not pay their assessment in full within a five-day period after confirma- tion of the assessment by the City Council. BE rr FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized to collect the assessed amounts if not paid off in full, utilizing a simple interest rate of 7% per annum. Payments may be made in a maximum of ten annual installments.
