RESOLUTION NO. 11855
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'YY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER FACILITIES TO SERVE RESTROOM
AT ROHR PARK IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following two bids were received and
opened at 2:00pm on the 14th day of Novemhpr ,19.JJ.l...'
in Conf._RIDs. 2 and 3 - Public Services Bldq of the City of Chula
Vista for construction of sewer facilities to serve re~trnnm
at Rohr Park
M. Arrieta and Son, Inc.
El Cajon
$126,487.00
Gabi Construction Co., Inc.
La Habra
$301,245.00
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, M. Arrieta and Son. ~.
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable perfor-
mance bond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said two bids, and does
hereby award the contract for said sewer facilities to serve rest-
room at Rohr Park to M. Arrieta and Son, Inc. in the amount of
$126,487.00 to be completed in accordance wit the specifications
as approved by the City Engineer of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula
Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $55,600 is hereby
appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Park Acquisition
and Development Funds and transferred to Account No. 600-6000-PD30.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $139,155.88 is hereby
authorized to be expended from the following accounts:
Account No. 600-6000-PD30- Rohr Park
Gravity Flow Sewer System
$110,489.47
Account No. 600-6000-PD27- Rohr Park
Replace Restroom
$28,666.41
