RESOLUTION NO. 11850
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA DECLARING THE COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO VACATE A
PORTION OF "C" STREET, WEST OF DEL MAR AVENUE AND
SETTING THE DATE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR SAID
VACATION
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the owner of the property at the northwest
corner of "c" Street and Del Mar Avenue, Mr. Mitchell Angus, has
requested that the City vacate a 7-foot-wide strip of right-of-way
of "c" Street along the property frontage, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Part 3, Chapter 3, Section
8320 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council
must adopt a resolution of intention to vacate public right-of-
way and set the date of the public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the 7-foot-wide portion of "c" Street right-of-
way to be vacated is more particularly described as follows:
The northerly seven feet of the southerly 30 feet of the
easterly 472.20 feet of the southwest quarter of 40-acre
Lot 2 of Quarter Section 135, Rancho de la Nacion, per
Map No. 166, excepting therefrom the easterly 30 feet of
the above described parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby set 7:00 p.m., the 18th day of
December, 1984, in the Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula
Vista, California as the time and place for hearing all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Chula Vista be, and she is hereby directed to cause a copy of this
resolution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a
newspaper of general circulation published within the City of
Chula Vista, and to cause notices of the passage of this resolu-
tion to be posted in the manner and form required by law.
