RESOLUTION NO. 11839
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA APPROVING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND THE MONTGOMERY FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT FOR FIRE DISPATCHING SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista that that certain Amendment to the
Agreement between the City of Chula Vista and the Montgomery Fire
Protection District for fire dispatching services, dated the
20th day of November , 1984, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in
full, be, and thee same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the City of Chula
vista.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AND MONTGOMERY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
FOR FIRE DISPATCHING SERVICES
THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this 20th day of
November , 1984, by and between THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a
municipal corporation, and THE MONTGOMERY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT;

WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista has heretofore entered
into an agreement with the Montgomery Fire Protection District to
provide radio dispatch services under the direction of the Chula
Vista Police Department for the Montgomery Fire District, and
WHEREAS, the charge for dispatChing services is based
upon the salaries of Chula Vista Communications Operators, which
have now been determined for fiscal year 1984-85, and
WHEREAS, the Montgomery Fire Protection District also
desires that Chula Vista dispatch a Battalion Commander to all
structure fires or other urgent calls in the Montgomery District
p~fective January 1, 1985, and
WHEREAS, the parties estimate that there will be 25 calls
in the six-month period and agree that $40 per call is reasonable
for a total of $1,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the
parties hereto that that certain agreement, adopted by Resolution
No. 9310 on th 17th day of October, 1978, and further amended by
Resolution No. 10354, adopted on the 16th day of December, by
Resolution No. 10550, adopted on the 14th day of July, 1981, by
Resolution No. 10919, adopted on the 22nd day of June, 1982, and
by Resolution No. 11356, adopted on the 16th day of August, 1983,
be, and the same is hereby amended insofar as Section 5 thereof is
concerned, to read as follows:
Section 5.
Payment for Services.
Montgomery Fire Protection District hereby agrees to pay
to the City of Chula Vista the sum of THIRTEEN THOUSAND,
NINE HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($13,990.00) for
the period of July 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985 in
quarterly payments, payable in advance. In addition,
Montgomery Fire Protection District agrees to pay ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($1,000.00) to the City of

Chula Vista to dispatch a Battalion Commander to all
structure fires or other urgent calls in the Montgomery
District effective January 1, 1985. The total for all
services shall be $14,990.00.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
Amendment to be executed the day and year first hereinabove set
forth.
