11830
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE
TASK FORCE ON ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS AND A REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO ATTEND A LEAGUE CONFERENCE ON
HAZARDOUS WASTE
The City Council of the City of Chula vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the League of California Cities has scheduled a
Hazardous Waste Seminar in the City of Ontario on December 5 and
6, 1984, and
WHEREAS, the City has established a Task Force on
Environmental Concerns which is studying the problem of hazardous
waste and how it affects the City of Chula Vista, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is that department in the
City which has the primary responsibility for handling hazardous
waste problems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby authorize the expenditure of
$450 for one member of the Task Force on Environmental Concerns
and one representative of the Fire Department to attend the League
conference on hazardous waste in the City of Ontario on December 5
and 6, 1984.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this funding shall come from
the previously approved Council Contingency Fund account no. 100-
0730-5399.
