RESOLUTION NO. 11908
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN MANKATO STREET
FROM FOURTH AVENUE TO GLOVER AVENUE, AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following five bids were received and
opened at 2:00 pm on the 19th day of December , 19R,
in Conf._Room I-public Services Buildinq of the City of Chula
vista for construction of street improvements in Mankato Strppt
from Fourth Avenue to Glover Avenue
ABC Construction Co., Inc.
San Diego

Sapper Construction Co.
San Diego

Dyno Construction, Inc.
San Diego

T. B. Penick & Sons, Inc.
San Diego

Addax Construction Co.
El Cajon

and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. ABC. Construction Co.. Inc.
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable perfor-
mance bond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula vista does hereby accept said five bids, and
does hereby award the contract for said street improvements in
Mankato Street to ABC Construction Co., Inc. in the
amount of $22.829.55 to be completed in accordance with the
specifications as approved by the City Engineer
of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of
Chula Vista.
BE IT. FURTHER RESOLVED that an additional $7,160 be, and
the same is hereby appropriåted from the unappropriated balance of
Gas Tax Funds.apd transferred to Account 250-2501-GT187.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $25,100.00 be, and the
sa~e is hereby authorized to be expended from Account No. 250-250l-GTk87
-Mankato Street Improvements-Fourth Avenue to Glover.
