RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ORDERING THE PROPOSED "LOWER SWEE'IWATER
REORGANIZATION"
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, pursuant to the District Reorganization Act of
1965, commencing with Section 56000 of the Government Code, the
City of Chula Vista has initiated reorganization proceedings for
the proposed "Lower Sweetwater Reorganization" involving:
1. Annexation of 88 acres of unincorporated territory
to the City of Chula Vista.
2. Annexation of 46 acres of unincorporated territory
to the City of National City.
3. Concurrent detachments from the San Diego County
Flood Control District-Zone 3, the Lower Sweetwater
Fire Protection District, and the Bonita-Sunnyside
Fire Protection District.
WHEREAS, the subject reorganization proposal was
approved by LAFCO on December 3, 1984, and
WHEREAS, LAFCO as lead agency conducted an initial study
for the proposed reorganization and determined that approval of
the proposal would have no significant effects on the environment
and hereby issued a Negative Declaration,
WHEREAS, the City Council, after due notice conducted a
pUblic hearing on this reorganization on January 8, 1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista hereby finds and determines and orders the
reorganization as follows:
1. Annexation of 88 acres of unincorporated territory
to the City of Chula Vista.
2. Annexation of 46 acres of unincorporated territory
to the City of National City.
3. Concurrent detachments from the San Diego County
Flood Control District-Zone 3, the Lower Sweetwater
Fire Protection District, and the Bonita-Sunnyside
Fire Protection District.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Chula Vista be, and
she is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a
certified copy of this resolution in accordance with
Section 56430 et seq of the Government Code.

Beginning at the southwesterly corner of 80 acre Lot 1 in said

1. Thence southwesterly, 8.11 feet along the southerly line of 40
