RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AUTHORIZING STAFF AND VICTORY & ASSOCIATES TO
ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH TELECOM PLUS FOR FINAL
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION AND COST FOR A NEAX 2400 TELEPHONE
SWITCH
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, on January 24, 1984, the City Council awarded a
contract to Victory & Associates to conduct Phases II and III of
the Telecommunications Feasibili ty Study for the City of Chula
Vista, and
WHEREAS, Phase II of the contract included a study of the
existing telephone system to identify where service could be
improved and costs reduced; system planning; network and system
design and system evaluation, and
WHEREAS, all Phase

WHEREAS, in July, 1984, the City of Chula Vista issued a
Request for Proposal for a telecommunication system for the Chula
Vista Civic Center and its outlying facilities, and
WHEREAS, said requests were

and the San Diego Daily Transcript relating to said Request for
Proposals, and
WHEREAS, a pre-bid conference was conducted on August 6,
1984 to discuss the specifications with the potential bidders, and
WHEREAS, all bids were evaluated by Victory & Associates
and discussed in detail with City staff, and
WHEREAS, the complexity of the City telephone system
requires that negotiations be conducted with TeleCom Plus so as to
provide a system best suited to the needs of the City of Chula
Vista.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista hereby authorizes staff to enter into
negotiations with TeleCom Plus regarding final system configura-
tion, design, and cost.
