RESOLUTION NO. 11767
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING INFORMAL BIDS, APPROPRIATING FUNDS,
AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PARKWAY POOL HEATER
REPLACEMENT IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following two informal bids were received
for Parkway Pool heater replacement:
Parnell & Leonard, Inc., San Diego
Jackson & Blanc, San Diego
$20,098.00
$27,500.00
and
WHEREAS, it has been recol1uoonded that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, Parnell & Leonard, Inc.
who have assured the City that they are licensed contractors in
the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance
bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said two informal bids
and does hereby award the contract for the Parkway Pool heater
replacement to Parnell & Leonard, Inc. in an amount not to exceed
$20,098.00 with the work to be done on a time and material basis
and to be completed in accordance with the specifications as
approved by the City Engineer of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $5,000 is hereby
appropriated frorn the unappropriated balance of Park Acquisition
and Development Funds in District 13 and transferred to Account
No. 600-6000-PD28.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $24,077 be, and
the same is hereby authorized to be expended from Account No.
600-6000-PD28 Replacement Parkway /Lorna Verde Pool Heating
System.
