RESOLUTION NO. 11766
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK RAMPS 1984-85 PROGRAM IN
THE FEASTER, MUELLER, VISTA SQUARE AND CASTLE PARK
AREAS IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following four bids were received and
opened at 2:00 pm on the 29th day of Auqust ,.19J!~.-,
in Cont. lþxa 5 in t:hei Public Services Buildinq of the Clty of Chula
vista for construction of sidewalk ramps 1984-85 Proqram in the
Feaster, Mueller, Vista Square and Castle Park areas
Silver Strand Contractors, San Diego
G. Spikes, San Diego
Henry Foster Contracting, San Diego
Dyno Construction, Inc., San Diego
$11,715.58.

14,270.97
16,924.90
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, Silver Strand ContractQrs
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable perfor-
mance bond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said four bids, and
does hereby award the contract for said sidewalk ramp construction
to Silver Strand Contract-:nr~ in f-hp ~mt"\11Td-
to be completed in accordance with the

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of
Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby authorized to
increase the contract amount to $13,716.03 in order to provide con-
struction for five additional sidewalk ramps in the vicinity of
Hill top Park. .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of $13,716.03 is
hereby authorized to be expended from Account No. 64l-6410-EJB04 _
Wheelchair Ramps.
