RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
OVERLAY OF WHITNEY STREET FroM HILLIDP DRIVE ID CLAIRE AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF ŒULA VISTA
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following five bids were received and
opened at 2:00 pm on the 15th day of Auqust , 19ß.L,
inCanf. ~. 5 of the Public Se:rvices Buildinq of the City of Chula
vista for the overlay of Whitney Street from Hilltop Driv~ tn
Claire Avenue
Daley Corporation, San Diego
Sim J. Harris Company, San Diego

WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Daley r.nrpnr~t;nn
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable perfor-
mance bond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said five bids, and
does hereby award the contract for said overlay oí Whltney Street

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of
Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $42,800 is hereby
authorized to be expended from Account No. 250-2501-GT158 - Modify
Roadway Cross Section on Whitney Street, Hilltop to Claire.
